Out of Stock Emails Discontinued

We're very happy that there are currently 170 or so users that are subscribed to at least one of the products featured on LineJumpers.com. This update is regarding 'out of stock' emails. The feedback we've gotten is that they clog up inboxes and are really unnecessary. When we heard that, a light bulb went off! You come to LineJumpers.com because you're looking for a product that is hard to find. More often than not, our subscribers react quickly to in-stock email and desktop alerts. Most of the die-hard users know that if they don't react quickly, the item will soon be out-of-stock.

For this reason, we're going to discontinue sending 'out-of-stock' emails to subscribers. You'll all still get 'in-stock' email alerts, and if you don't react timely, they'll probably be gone, so we (and you) don't feel that the out of stock notifications are necessary. It's safe to say that if you get an in-stock email and wait more than an hour or so (sometimes much less than that), it's probably out of stock. If you still want to check, the desktop software and our Web site will let you know if it is indeed out of stock.

We hope that this makes the process better and more user friendly for everyone. We can't please everyone, but we seek to please the majority of users.

Side note: the Nintendo DSi is going to be available on 4/5/2009. Sign up now for alerts, as we've read that availability may be limited. Given the economy, this might not be true, but as they say, better safe than sorry.

Nintendo DSi Preorder Available from Amazon

Nintendo DSi is now available for preorder from Amazon! Exciting news that we're currently trying to act on. Within the next day or two we'll update our DSi tracker page to allow you all to preorder the DSi if you want. Rest assured that on April 5th we'll update the page so that you can just go buy it from either Amazon, Walmart or Gamestop (we might have had time to add Best Buy and another store by then, fingers crossed).

Note that the DSi is only available in Black and Blue for preorder, with more colors available upon full release. It's exciting in that this is the first system released in some time that. Most blogs that I've read are saying that you should certainly replace your DS lite with the DSi. Check out the product page or previous blog posts to figure out if it's worth it for you.
